Andrey, Eduard, Genady, Viacheslav (Russie)
The weather conditions are still as exceptional, less than an 8 knots wind and a 1.5 meters swell. This first group of Russian crazy jiggers of the season did not even want to have a day off… Therefore, departure is at night for an 89h Hawkins XXtreme trip. For once, jigging activity is much better than trolling. There are many small bluefin and lugubris trevallies, dogtooth tunas between 12 and 43kg (small ones are all released). A beautiful 25kg giant trevally by Eduard was put back in the water after having taken pictures. Nice jobfish, seriolas, yellowfin tunas and even wahoos have succumbed to the insistences of our Russian mates. During moving and recovering periods, two marlins have been caught: a first black marlin one of 130kg caught by Genady and Andrey as a team; the second one, a blue marlin of 150kg by Viacheslav. Finally, goals are reached except a dogtooth tuna over 50kg. But there still is a 46h session on the Eastern Bank.
