Jean Luc and Anne wanted Pierre and Marie (16 and 13 years old) to discover exotic fishing. After a day around Rodrigues to warm up with the usual fish, Cape is on the Hawkins Bank for an Xtreme trip (65h) with a very tonic sea. For once, the activity is low. There were however, 2 marlins hooked and a beautiful giant trevally of 31kg by Jean Luc. Marie (13 years old) made a beautiful double with a club record on a bullshark of 140kg and a potential world record with a dogtooth tuna on baiting of 9.5kg, still pending. The previous world record was made on 2004 in Papua New Guinea and was of… 2kg. The weather conditions compelled us to shorten the bank of half a day, to end around Rodrigues, where beautiful yellowfin tunas were captured and 2 sailfish unhooked. Hat off to this very sympathetic family who can from now on face any sea of the world.
