Cyclone Berguitta finally brought the saving rains to Rodrigues (expected since October 2017). It then continued its trajectory, intensifying on Mauritius and Reunion Island, disrupting departures and arrivals!
The initial program of 1 x 34h and 1 x 46h has been practically respected by compressing the trips of our two friendly fishing couples.
Nice trolling activity with many yellowfin tuna (23kg the biggest) some wahoos, and dorados. Philippe takes a 33kg Giant Trevally which unfortunately could not be released because it had swallowed a deep speed pro and its 2 triples.
As for jigging and baiting, the currents are not favourable. Daniel releases a white tip shark of about 80kg while Philippe goes back up another GT of about 20kg which returned his element in good conditions.
On board the very good friendly atmosphere, laughter, and delicious dishes prepared by Yann as well as fish were the best remedies against the rain…
