Season opens with 2 x 82h, on the Eastern Bank and around Rodrigues with excellent weather. Charles and Bruno, who came last year, introduced Antony (Charles’ son) and Jean Pierre, their friend, to exotic fishing.

Activity is very nice trolling and jigging.

On trolling, there are many yellowfin tunas (25kg the largest), pretty nice wahoos (32kg the largest), two dorados that delighted the fishermen’s taste buds, a blue marlin about 80 kg released as well as a sailfish between 40 to 45 kg.

•  On jigging: lugubris and bluefin trevallies, rainbow runners, jobfish, small dogtooth tunas, beautiful red corail trouts, moontail sea bass and others groupers.

• On baiting: 2 white tip sharks about 80 kg and “red fishes’’ were released.
