20kg GT on slow jigging - www.rodfishingclub.com - Rodrigues - Mauritius - Indian Ocean
Claudius, Denis, Pascal and Lionel
Weather does not allow us to go up to the Eastern Bank for this 82h session. Activity around the island is difficult according to currents’ variations – some are very strong, some not at all – as well as a crossed swell and a strong wind. Strange for this season!
Nevertheless, trolling brings beautiful wahoos and some yellowfin tunas. Lionel takes his first black marlin about 150kg.

Claudius makes the difference in slow jigging, a technique that completes jig fishing and is terribly effective when practiced with adapted equipment. For a fish caught in traditional jigging (fast jigging) 4 fish will be caught in slow jigging. Results speak by themselves! A GT about 20kg was thus taken and released with this technique by Claudius.
