Pierre Julien (France) & Pedro (Maurice)
Our first thought is with Franck, who has not been able to be with us.
Even if Pedro, as an angler, owns a boat in Mauritius, he joined this kind of long trip for the fifth time. The weather does not enable us to go on the high reef. Then, as the journey duration is reduced, the fishing time is optimized. As the previous days, we still have a lot of small bonitos. This is how 4 sailfish about 40kg, doggies about 20kg, wahoos (32kg for the biggest), sharks (the biggest about 75kg) and a few nice yellowfin tunas (21kg for the biggest) have been caught live bait, at the surface as bottom fishing. Unfortunately, the only marlin has been lost on strike and a big doggy after a huge rush broke at the bottom. The various techniques have enabled to catch 16 species of fish (dorados, seriolas, rainbow runners, skipjacks, red coral trouts, giant trevallies, etc…)
