For the 8th following year, Gerard (the father) and Loic (the son) share their month of May, alternating between deep-sea fishing and inside lagoon fishing. Jean-Yves, who used to be a fishing controller in Reunion, shared the boat with them for a few XL trips around Rodrigues. The weather is very good for this period of transition summer/winter. The flat sea of this first 39h trip enables them to catch a beautiful black marlin of 150kg for Jean Yves and two sailfish for Gerard and Loic on trolling. Series of yellowfin tunas, wahoos and doggies (with an average of 18kg) complete the tableau. At sunset, activity gets in full swing with nice giant trevallies (45kg for the biggest) and tremendous strikes, unfortunately unhooked. Hey! What’s next?
