This great jiggers’ team opens the season with an XXtreme trip on the Hawkins Bank, split into the pleasure of this expedition and the apprehension of strong weather conditions forecast by the website Windguru. Eole and Neptune were with them, then! Nice weather and nice fishy sea for this very first trip! Finally, there were 21 species of fish representing more than 120 pieces, which made the anglers quite happy, jigging, trolling, baiting or casting popping. The biggest doggy was 42kg, the biggest wahoo 38.5kg, the biggest giant trevally was 30kg and the biggest yellowfin tuna was weighing 21kg. There was a quadruple strike of sailfish, including 1 caught and 1 released. A special mention to Itzhak that you can see seating on his “fighting cool-box” and his electric reel. He is paving the way to many anglers convinced that Rodrigues is not for them any more, especially jigging! We could even think of a picture with 4 “fighting cool-box” lined up… in a few years with 4 electric reels!
