Jean Marc & Gérard – France –
Big game fishing fans, Jean Marc invited Gérard, his father, for a 58h on the Eastern Bank. Weather is perfect and activity is quiet on the way, on Marlins’ Boulevard! Yellowfin tunas and wahoos punctuate trolling on arrival at the bank.
At sunset, bottom fishing and baiting bring variety and colour (jobfish, dogtooth tunas – 30 kg for the biggest – ignobilis trevallies groupers, red snappers, etc…)
On the following day, it starts off strongly! Jean Marc catches a 35kg wahoo. Gérard takes much pleasure with a blue marlin about 170kg. 3 minutes later, Jean Marc seats on the fighting chair still warm, to fight a black marlin about 140kg. Everything happened in really ideal conditions!
A small wreck (broken underwater nets) animates the last fishing day with lots of wahoos… and only one dorado!
It is easy to imagine the tremendous atmosphere of this trip through intense moments of sharing and between father and son. Both families met on the pier to end up the trip with Dom Perignon’s blessing.
