Remi and Gregoire, his young son matched up with our 2 Chtis from the previous trip, for a 60h trip on the Eastern Bank. The sea is ok on Marlin’s Bd but there was nothing. Some yellowfin tunas and wahoos are caught on arrival on the bank but very few at sunset because of strong current. A nice doggy is lost on live bonito. On the following day, activity is nice with yellowfins (24kg for the biggest) and wahoos (27kg the biggest) new club record as Junior by Gregoire 15 years old.
Christophe & Remi realize a double strike with hammer sharks about 60 & 80kg; of course, they will be released. A few nice jobfish are caught baiting at sunset.
On the 3rd day, nice yellowfin tunas and dorados liven up the beginning of the morning. Then jigging brings its diversity of species and colours this trip missed until now (doggies, bluefin trevallies, seriolas, rainbow runners, babones, red coral trouts and barracudas). On the way back, unfortunately, Marlins’ Bd is desert.
