Françoise, André, Fabrice and Wilfrid
1 woman and 3 men make up this beautiful shared team for an 82h on the Eastern Bank. The way up by Marlin’s Bd is long because the sea is difficult. Only a dorado will brighten the journey. The next day some yellowfin tunas (18kg the biggest) and wahoos (22kg the biggest) are caught trolling.
The afternoon is dedicated to jigging (black and blue trevallies, seriolas, jobfish, rainbow runners etc….)
The 3rd day sees a very beautiful yellowfin tuna activity in the morning. A bulldog shark about 120 kg is released by Françoise on bait fishing. Unfortunately the weather conditions are getting worse, the sea is getting rougher and we have to come back to Rodrigues.
Halfway through, around 4.00 PM we catch a beautiful marlin. Francoise will stay 4 hours on the fighting chair before seeing her dead fish arriving by the boat, the leader tangled in the tail. This black marlin weighs 270kg and is the new club’s women record. Congratulations Françoise!
On the last day, trolling around Rodrigues brings some yellowfin tunas, dorados and wahoos, as well as beautiful red coral trouts in jigging.
In the end, this trip marked by the omnipresence of sharks (isn’t it Wilfrid?) is representative of Multifishing in Rodrigues within 21 species.
