Guy came for the 3rd time in February 2017. Here he comes back again for 2 trips of 46h with Mathis, his 8 years old son, to try breaking the dogtooth tuna world record in smallfry category – (below 11 years old).
It was done as soin as the 1st day, around Rodrigues. Mathis catches a 89.5kg dogtooth tuna, within 25 mn, baiting (with dead tuna).
This potential world record is submited to registration at IGFA.
For the 2nd trio on the Eastern bank, weather is favourable. On the way, on Marlin’s Bd, Guy releases a small blue marlin about 80 kg, caught trolling. One hour later another marlin, much bigger this time, swallows the bonito that Guy put on small tackle. After a 5:30 fient, l’une breaks at the bottom. On the 2nd day, our two fishermen will be fully active on trolling, mainly consisrting in yellowfin tuna (38kg the largest) and wahoos (28kg the biggest).
In the end, a fantastic stay, full of emotions and memories!
