Denis, Daniel, Pascal & Philippe.
The black moon and its large tide coefficients generated fairly strong currents (1.6 to 1.8 knots) during these 82 hours on the Eastern Bank.
The activity is relatively quiet trolling with some beautiful yellowfin tunas (32kg the largest) and wahoos (22kg the biggest). However, it started well with a double strike of small sailfish. One unhooked while the other is released by Pascal.
The next day, Denis catches a blue marlin about 100 -120kg which was a delight for the sharks. It is a very first for us to see such taxation on a marlin! The picture made the buzz on social medias!
Jigging (fast and slow) as well as baiting, offer diversity and colors as usual : jobfish – 9.5kg the largest; rainbow runners – 6.5kg the largest, redsnapper and other bottom fish.
Philippe had brought some local specialities (Corsican coppa, sausages, cheeses) which added to Denis’ (homemade pâté) and Daniel’s (country pâté) were well appreciated during long and very pleasant fishing days.
Thanks guys for these great moments.
