Aime, Luc & Robert (France)
For his 3rd trip, Aime wanted Luc and Robert to discover tropical fishing. They were quite unlucky with the weather. Aime had not lit a candle to Neptune & Eole. This must be the reason! First planned for a one day trip + a 89h on Hawkins, the schedule converted in a one day trip + a 34h around Rodrigues + 41h on the Eastern Bank. The end of the cyclone Haliba changed the whole planning and results. Our fishermen friends have crossed all weather types: quietness, rain, wind, heat, rainstorm, very big swell! But they got back! How brave!
Trolling is.difficult! Just a few wahoos, small yellowfin tunas, and dorados. Baiting is not easy! Just few doggies and red fishes (coral trout and red snapper). To cap it all, out of 2 marlins’ strikes, on the Eastern Bank, one unhooks and the other spits out his bonito. At sunset, Luc sees his big doggy tasted by sharks. Robert will catch one of them about 60kg that will be released. On The way back, on Marlins’ Boulevard, Aime will catch a beautiful spearfish of 25kg.
