2 large trips of 82h were scheduled. The weather conditions only enabled us to fish for 3 days and a half! Sad and disappointing for this great team from Gabon! Big swell, harsh wind, chopped and short sea… it seems like washing machine on spinning mode!
A few yellowfin tunas, wahoos and dogtooth tunas are caught trolling. 3 sailfish unhook.
Baiting, Fred catches a beautiful 57.5kg dogtooth tuna, the 224th over 50 kg aboard Black Marlin.

Sharks cut off all the other live baits.
Jigging, Bruno and Bertrand each loose a big doggy before they catch tunas between 13 and 15kg at sunset, small dogtooth tunas; groupers, all giant trevallies are released and other bottom fish.

Bruno regularly comes in February or March since 2009, and is used to have fantastic trips. As he doesn’t wish to remain on such a disappointment, they come back on May 2018!
